Briggs is a mountain range located in the northern region of Amestris, which serves as border to the neighboring country of Drachma. It gives its name to Amestris' northernmost military base that guards the Amestris - Drachma border. The temperatures in Briggs are always in the negatives and blizzards are frequent. The only flora in Briggs consists of spruces and sparse mountain vegetation. Little is known about fauna, but it is known that the bears occupying the area are quite large.

North City

North City is a city in the Northern region of Amestris and serves as the State Military command center for the area. Located to the south of the Briggs Mountain Range, North City is a picturesque town blanketed in snow for much of the year. Despite that, the city is extremely prosperous, relishing in the happiness that comes from the protection of Fort Briggs (North HQ).
