Kaspar derocha's
alchemy
i'm gonna take that tiger outside for a ride
NAME:
→ Biosynthetic Alchemy
TYPE:
→ Alchemy.
TIER:
→ Tier 1.
METHOD:
→ A modular and constantly-tweaked transmutation circle which is engraved to an automail prosthetic nerve base mounted into the stump, just past Kaspar's elbow. This acts as a basis for his biosynthetic prosthesis; a thin steel prong sticks a few inches outwards, allowing him to "mount" the materials on and thus activate the transmutation.
VISUAL:
BRIEFING:
→ Born with no forearm, Kaspar's primary alchemical discipline concerns his disillusionment with Amestrian and Xingese automail. At fifteen, he had fitted a disk around his stump, connected into his bones, with a prong for the actual limb. Nineteen continuous hours of surgery hooked every single nerve up to every single wire, painstaking and horrific, even with anaesthetics. And every six months, he had to size up a model. Change the oil every two weeks. Something went stiff more or lesss every few days. Safe to say that Kaspar got bored.
Alchemy had been a pursuit of his long before his pioneering of this particular Discipline, but the simplicity of it is thus. He has carefully had a transmutation circle engraved upon the disk connected to his nerves which changes the signals from bioelectrical into mechanical. Onto this prong Kaspar fits a steel cylinder -- a process one will rarely see -- which when twisted to lock in, activates the circle and triggers the alchemy.
Between the symbols for salt, sulfur, and water, Kaspar has found a way to manipulate carbon into a fully versatile biosynthetic prosthesis. The cylinder is, during the process, compressed into such a way that it serves as a rigid 'bone' of sorts to give the hand structure (non-alchemically, this is just a well-planned side effect due to its positioning and the physics of the process), but everything else is a tempered kind of carbon-based flesh, with a little halogen-neon cocktail on the inside to give it Kaspar's own personal flair, and a trippy light-show on the outside.
The carbon itself is supercompressed, and the exterior of his arm is reformed into a tight lattice-style structure. Whilst it functions with the flexibility and dexterity of any normal limb -- and Kaspar can feel pressure through it, thanks to the neuronal connection of the stump-disk -- its exterior is as hard as granite, and the claws that tip every finger are razor-sharp pseudo-diamond formations. That said, however, the arm can be chipped away at and cannot be repaired unless Kaspar finds more carbon to reform it (whether wood, plant matter, or another carbon derivative). Additionally, because of the link to the nerve conversion disc on his stump, Kaspar will experience pain if the limb is damaged beyond a certain threshold, excruciatingly so if it is crushed or snapped. Other than that, however, it is a near-perfect weapon in close-combat, due to its intense durability and talons.
Finally, Kaspar has pioneered this to be a resistant and long-lasting modification, and due to it being a relatively simple alchemical process, he can sustain it for days -- sometimes weeks -- before having to revert.

KASPAR DEROCHA'S
EQUIPMENT
OVER THE SUNSET ON THE HORIZON
NAME: CA-357 "Diamondback"
TYPE: Revolver
BRIEFING: The Cretan Arms .357 "Diamondback" Revolver is a versatile yet oddly rare sidearm. Restricted for officer use only -- with enlisted troops instead being given semi-automatic pistols rather than the revolver -- it is still in active use today, but requires a steady and learned hand behind the trigger. Major reason for its disuse on the frontline is due to mainly tradition, but it packs formidable recoil, and some troops are confused at this particular weapon's modularity. It can be loaded with a wide selection of .357 Magnum rounds, holding six shots in a cylinder, but at present, Kaspar only carries hollow points (extra damage against unarmoured targets).
NAME: Qilin
TYPE: Spear
BRIEFING: As a member of the prestigious Han clan of Xing, which has for decades now held a very close relationship with the Emperor and his court as an ambassador, upon their coming of age, every seedling is permitted one item of the finest craftsmanship. Seamstresses choose needles, ambassadors a dress of the finest silk; Kaspar, having already decided to leave after his father, received Qilin, a double-ended, wide-bladed, five-foot spear-staff. Impeccably weighted, with blades crafted of titanium carbide, the prodigal assassin's son is well-trained with a firearm, but Qilin sees ample use -- even if just in training -- every day of his travels.
